Information for Poster Presenters:

  • Posters should maximally be 3 x 4 feet in size.
  • They will be mounted to the wall with poster adhesives, so light paper is preferred.
  • Presenters should prepare to arrive early (by 9:15) to make sure posters are up by the time MACSIM starts.

A few more details for presenters:

  • Poster setup starts at 9, and posters will be left up all day for viewing. Please make sure you arrive early to get set up if you’re presenting a poster (breakfast will also be available at 9, to make early arrival a little more enticing :-) )
  • If you’d like to make handouts to go with your talk or poster, you should plan on making about 50 copies.
  • If you use slides for your talk, please email me the file (pdf or powerpoint) by Friday before 3pm. We’ll use an on site computer (PC) so that there’s no trouble with switching laptops between talks.
  • We will provide access codes to Penn’s Wireless network, in case you want to bring your laptop.
  • If you’re incurring travel expenses and are not a US citizen, you needto deal with some paper work. In order to be reimbursed for travel to MACSIM, the visiting foreign nationals will need:
  1. To fill out the Foreign National Information form (FNIF)
  2. a copy of their passport
  3. a copy of the visa
  4. copy of their I-94 card
  5. Scholars on a J-1 need a copy of their ‘DS 2019′

Penn is relatively strict about all of these regulations, so be sure you
have everything you need!
